I'm adopting meat only Mondays

My colon may not like it, but if the L.A. City Council can force insipid resolutions on the populace, hell, I can be an idiot* right back:

The Los Angeles council, in a 14-0 vote on Friday, adopted a resolution urging residents to adopt a personal pledge to have a “meatless Monday.”

While it does not have the force of law and police will not be checking what you brought to work for lunch, city officials said they hope it will start a trend, make residents healthier and reduce the impact on the environment.

*Actually, it would just be a normal day for me, just substitute beef jerky for nuts at snack time, and no salad at lunch.

Hurray! They've solved their budget crisis and figured out how to pay for all of those unfunded pension accounts since they have time for this!

They have solved all the problems- Democrats have supermajorities in the legislature there, so no Republicans can hold back the goodness that flows from mother and father government.
