A 12.5 with a can kaboomed on the first shot using Hornady Superperformance ammo. Hornady recommends not using that ammo in anything less than a rifle gas system, with a special provision for surpressors. Barring a factory screwup, I see that as good advice. I do use a lot of Hornady products, but steer clear of of the specialty stuff.
Definitely reminds me of one of my 300 BLK load tests. One popped a primer in the pistol, with heavy ejector and extractor marks on two or three cases. Same load was fine in the carbine gas barrel. I've learned that I have to try the loads in the pistol first, then see if they work in the rifle.
