TL;DR version: Progressive is upset that a black man defending himself in the inverse of the Zimmerman situation was tried. (by the local Democrat ;) prosecutor) Typical anti stand your ground nonsense, too. Funny, the jury in the Iowa case had the same result as in the Zimmerman case: not guilty. Of course, Lewis would have had a better result if the DM Register wasn't so rabidly anti gun that their initial story on the incident painted Lewis as some kind of insane street racer with a gun. As opposed to the truth- some poor guy driving home and dealing with two road raging goobers.

MAIG loves terrorists

Why else would they claim one of the Boston Marathon bombers was a victim of gun violence? Were they deliberately trying to provoke people? Oh, wait, they were. And some guy got arrested. Sounds like a decent guy, with two sons in Afghanistan, from what I read here and there. Wonder if his arrest came before or after the MAIG declaration of love for murdering terrorists.

I didn't see any Big Gulps in the video. I thought those were required at any MAIG counter protest.

Apparently the grievance mongers at MS-NBC are now blaming the opposition to Nanny Bloomberg on the incidental fact that he is Jewish. No, it is because he is trying disarm people to fit his vision of the future. Or for the childern.

I am sure that Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership would love to discuss how anti-semtic their views of Bloomberg are.  I've never understood any Jew wanting to disarm others. I guess those who fail history are either condemned to (or wish to) repeat it.

Not only did Mark Kelly decide to buy an AR-15, (Sig M400, btw) somehow he did it to prove how easy it was to buy one. So he chose one with a 20 day wait, because it is a consignment/used gun. Wow, that sounds easy to me. Next, instead of his original story of handing it over to the numbnuts who kept the guy who shot his wife from being on the NICS list, he is now going to commit a felony with it first, namely a private sale over state lines. Does the Pete Townshend defense work on felonies, provided you are not David Gregory? Guess the BATFE is running a new Gunwalker, using famous anti gun spokesmen as mules.

Normal capacity magazines and semi automatic rifles are now "personal pleasures." Sigmund Freud called, he asked "how long has ze rifle been a source of pleasure, Senator?"


Markley's Law, for those not in the know, is the inevitable decent of anti gun folks to claim that a gun owner, female or male, is compensating for something.

No one is coming for your guns part XXLII

Unless they are coming for your guns. Oregon's proposed law pretty much bans scary weapons and normal capacity magazines. And declares that a state of emergency exists (!) so the door kicking starts 120 days after it is signed. One scary weapon and 3 magazines of capacity over the random number of 10 can be registered. So 1 AR + 3 magazines. And don't bother keeping pistol mags, as you can't use them in self defense. Plus door kicking on a daily basis* to "inspect" your super secure storage of inanimate objects. And fees "to be determined" for required background checks needed to keep your own weapons.

(!) What is the emergency? Someone might notice the insane law and try to sue in court?

*Why wouldn't they? It's a state of emergency, for goodness sake.

New Yorkers Shocked that Gun Owners don't like cake

Because the cake is a lie.

Now that I have that out of the way, Cuomo is proposing to make hunting and fishing cheaper in New York. And a New York website is shocked that gun owners are not rushing to fellatiate the governor for his largess. Here is the headline:

Well, golly. Saving $4 on a hunting license more than makes up for being arrested for having a standard  capacity magazine.

They introduced the usual bills- magazine bans, universal back ground checks, and giving the DNR a blank check to ban ammo. House file 163, 164, 165 respectively. All dumped into the Judiciary committee. Hopefully to die.

Conversation on guns falling on deaf ears. Then no ears

So, Minnesota Democrats are so embarrassed by their own naked power grab that they have to leave the room while pro gun activists testify. Maybe they wanted Diane Feinstein to point the guns at them, with her finger on the trigger as she always does. I'm sure they are blaming the usual Democrat reasons- "guns scare us; we don't have to know what we are banning to ban it; look at us, we piss ourselves in the presence of inanimate objects; how dare you talk to us"- you know, common sense reasons.

ATF operation Yakkity Sax

I double dare you to read this article about an ATF clusterfuck operation in Milwaukee and not start hearing "Yakkity Sax" over and over again.

They lost an M4- yes, an actual "only ones" M4, not an AR-15. A real assault rifle, in other words. Not the made up kind that people want to ban because they look scary. In addition, they were buying guns at such inflated prices people were buying guns at full retail and selling them to the ATF at a profit.

Maybe this is why Milwaukee's sheriff says you need to arm yourself- the ATF sure sucks at their job.

If taking away rights is so much work

Why doesn't Beth Bye (D) resign? If being stuck in a hearing is so much work, why doesn't CT just suspend all that public reading and testimony and go full Reichstag Fire Decree like New York did?

Sorry, haven't seen one bill offered up about mental illness. Why didn't Diane Feinstein drag Charles Manson, Chapman, or Hinckley up on stage and promote a ban on mental illness? They could just tax the mentally ill- isn't that how Obamacare "solved" the problem of uninsured people?

Lots of bills punishing legal gun owners for the actions of criminals. Or banning non-PC guns. Or making criminals out of people swapping shotguns at "unapproved venues." But no real solutions, only the same stale crap they always peddle. Like Barbara "Shoulder thing that goes up" Boxer introducing her standard may issue carry bill to the Senate.

Maybe because nothing they have proposed adds anything to the fact that murder is a crime. Stealing guns in a crime. Selling guns to prohibited people is a crime.

Comparing pro-civil rights activists to Nazis? Maybe Bob Schieffer just wants to take the crown from David Gregory as the anti-gun king. Well, Bob, David Gregory committed, and got away with, a gun control crime while he was opining. He set the bar pretty high.

I see what she did there.

And I like it. Dana Loesch, in a Twitter fight with Piers Morgan, goes off on the usage of "assault rifle" and "military style" by correcting him in the fact that the gun used in Connecticut was not an "assault rifle" nor "military style" as it had no full auto selector switch. Morgan can't even get the caliber right.
