I was a fan of the series until it started getting really weird, then the last book....I wanted to jump of a cliff. I should have stopped reading when prompted by the author, but how can you stop that short of the end?
The last 3 did seem a little rushed, and I stopped reading most of his other novels after roughly "The Regulators"/"Desperation" release. I've yet to read the graphic novel versions of the "Dark Tower" series, but I don't always get into the graphic novel format. I didn't mind the last novel, if only to close out the series officially. Deus Ex Machina to the max, though.
