Approved reporters

David Gregory's protectors in DC will be pleading the fifth pretty soon, I'm guessing. There sure is a ton of that going around these days. In the meantime, those "co-conspirators" at Fox News get the KGB treatment, complete with secret indictments and spying. Wonder if the DOJ found anything exciting on Sharyl Attkisson's computers?

Newest Gunwalker Straw Buyer-Mark Kelly?

Not only did Mark Kelly decide to buy an AR-15, (Sig M400, btw) somehow he did it to prove how easy it was to buy one. So he chose one with a 20 day wait, because it is a consignment/used gun. Wow, that sounds easy to me. Next, instead of his original story of handing it over to the numbnuts who kept the guy who shot his wife from being on the NICS list, he is now going to commit a felony with it first, namely a private sale over state lines. Does the Pete Townshend defense work on felonies, provided you are not David Gregory? Guess the BATFE is running a new Gunwalker, using famous anti gun spokesmen as mules.

Cuomo wants a David Gregory exemption for...

Cuomo wants to make an additional class of "only ones" able to have large capacity magazines besides the police in New York. My title gives it away- filmmakers. How else could they make violent movies for other little crazies to copy if they don't use the real guns?

I don't necessarily subscribe to the theory that exposure to violent movies and games = instant murderers. No more than I subscribe to the theory that having guns makes you a murderer. This almost pisses me off more, it is crony capitalism fascism at its worst- filmmakers donate money to Cuomo, they get special rights.

Added:- There is a great comment at Hot Air- will they be allowed Big Gulps on movie sets?

Commit a David Gregory in New York, go to jail

Looks like the persecutor in New York will go after Nathan Haddad for possession of standard capacity magazines. Since, as a lowly ex-special forces member, he is not important enough to have them in New York. Only Law Enforcement is special enough to posses them, not the serfs.

Speaking of David Gregory, the above link to Legal Insurrection also discusses the David Gregory case. As in, William Jacobson tried to get a FOIA request for information on the case. Jacobson was blown off, and will be appealing that decision.

Feinstein even wants target rifles

Her list even includes hunting rifles and target rifles. The Remington R-15 series are generally sold as hunting rifles, complete with 5 round magazines and NO scary features. So as not to compete with the parent companies Bushmaster and DPMS brands. And banning the Colt Match rifles- well, guess that is a giant middle finger at the NRA and the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

from the Daily Caller article.

Oh, and Diane got a special dispensation to show modern sporting rifles and normal capacity magazines, because she is special and above the law.

Little Fiefdoms

Yes- make everything illegal, then let the prosecutors play king and decide who they want to prosecute. Kinda like Joe Biden saying it would be too much work and too expensive to enforce the current gun control laws, so we need more. You know, like the DC prosecutor saying he won't prosecute David Gregory's knowing violation of the magazine ban in DC because Gregory agrees with the prosecutor.

Up Yours, Bob Schieffer

Comparing pro-civil rights activists to Nazis? Maybe Bob Schieffer just wants to take the crown from David Gregory as the anti-gun king. Well, Bob, David Gregory committed, and got away with, a gun control crime while he was opining. He set the bar pretty high.

Friends in high places

We've all seen the movie where the heavy guy is buddies with the law, so he gets to break it with impunity. Good thing to know that doesn't happen in real life. It would almost be like a Supreme Court justice failing to recuse herself from judging a law she helped write....

DC admits magazine ban does not apply to clear violations of the law.

Will not prosecute David Gregory's 'clear violation' (their words) of the magazine ban.

Nice. Gun control is for 'those people' not for the elites. This is a complete failure of gun control. Oddly, Sandy Hook was a success.

DC protest for Gun Appreciation Day

How hard would it be to make fake 30 round mags? A bunch of solid boxes molded out of rubber that look like normal capacity gun magazines. Then, everyone marching in DC could have one on a stick, walking around chanting- You can't arrest at me/Now go get David Gregory.

Washington DC says 30 Round Magazines Okay -Update

They will not prosecute the crime David Gregory committed. The 105 other people they arrested in 2012 didn't wave them around on TV. But we don't have selective prosecution in this country. Or a biased media carrying water for one side only.\

Mention David Gregory at every chance when "high capacity" mags are brought up.

Update:
Emily Miller noted they changed their minds and may or may not charge Gregory by the end of the week. Guess they want to see how the optics go on the free pass idea first.

David Gregory is at the Scene of the Crime RIGHT NOW

Washington DC MPD SWAT swarm! Form of- Second Amendment violating gun grabbers!

Shouldn't a journalist be treated at least as nicely as one of our veterans?
Update:
Maybe it is because Gregory is white? After all, gun control in the country is, at its root, to keep guns out of the hands of the free slaves. Selective enforcement stems from that. Yeah, I went there. But Brinkley followed the law to the letter and was arrested. Put through hell, then found not guilty. Maybe they should equally enforce the law, or remove it.

Will the DC police get some phone calls 11 AM EST

After all, people shout be calling in to report the location of a person who committed a violation of the magazine ban. Or is David Gregory still in hiding? After all, they have him on tape holding a banned standard capacity magazine for an AR-15, after being denied permission to use said magazine on air.

Faking NOT running out of bullets

That is what this woman did- she armed herself with a .38 when some POS broke into her house. She emptied it into him, then held him   scared him off with the empty gun. Guess Mr Out on Parole doesn't count too good.

I don't think he was going to last very long:

Channel 2’s Amy Napier Viteri learned from Chapman late Friday night that Slater has been placed on a ventilator and suffers from punctured lungs, a punctured liver and a punctured stomach.
He said if Slater survives the night, doctors will try to operate in the morning to repair the damage.
Chapman said Slater has four exit wounds.

He still would have had time to take her or her child with him. I don't blame her- it is damn hard to corral a child, get your gun and phone and hide. A spare speedloader would not be the first thing I grabbed.

But we can repeat this nationally with a normal capacity magazine ban. Of course, then the only people with normal capacity magazines will be criminals and David Gregory. But I repeat myself.

Wheel of Compromise

The wheel of "compromise" will be spinning soon.

What will be loaded in it?

Slot A: AWB- complete failure, Connecticut has one, made no difference. So did New York. And the cases need to be brought up where lack of military utility was a disqualifier for short barrel shotguns. Every gun sold should have a military application or feature by that precedent. Columbine was done with 10 round mags.

Slot B: Magazine bans: you have a man commit a violation of a magazine ban live on national television. Nothing happened. No SWAT teams rappelled in from the lighting rigs to shoot his dog haul him off. Even a week later, no charges filed. So the Democrats really don't care about magazine bans or they would have had David Gregory arrested. Democrats cannot honestly say they care, and this needs to be pounded into every single mention of magazine capacity, to the point of "David Gregory" being the only answer to any magazine ban topic. If you can kill a man's wife and son for making a shotgun barrel 1/4" too short, David Gregory can spend $1000 and 364 days in jail.

Slot C: Registration: complete failure, made no difference in Connecticut.

Slot D: No crazies with guns. That will be the most work. So it will receive the least thought. Or everyone who wants a gun will be called crazy.

Slot E: The complete failure of gun free zones: Too much blood on too many hands to admit they are a failure. Hell, 500 murders in the Gun Control Paradise of Chicago, Gun Free zones like Fort Hood, Aurora and numerous school shootings nail it home. A sign is not a shield. It is a talisman. Or a false idol.

Slot F: Banning private sales: Not applicable to any of the recent mass shootings, or already a crime. Connecticut douche got a ballistic discount. Crime. NY arson murderer was already a murderer, who paid a moron(s) to buy him guns. Existing gun control law. Columbine- straw purchase, never prosecuted. See David Gregory.

Slot G: Violence in media/video games. Under age 18 exposure will come up. Possible full throttle censorship to that age group, like smoking rules. Personally, smacks of "everyone gets a trophy" madness. On the other hand, everyone gets a little pain on this deal. Spread the FUD around. A point. I have an achievement for killing 53,394 zombies (x2 different games) and 72,000 zombies in a single 8 hour play through. Guess what - those are achieved with cars, not guns. I own both in real life. I don't run around shooting people or trying to run pedestrians down.

Slot H: Media coverage: Hmmm- balancing the need to know with copycats playing monkey see, monkey kill. I do not think anything needs to be done here. By the government. Remember the Fox News mistake when the guy shot himself live? Here is my sick, twisted idea. Show more. You don't hurt anybody, you get your 15 minutes. You hurt people, kill others, refer to them only as "that f'ing loser." All get a derogatory name. They would need to be vetted, not aired live.

Slot I: Complete repeal of the NFA and other federal gun control acts, to be replaced with commonsense, easily understood rules. Never happen. Most of the NFA is related to banning handguns. That never came to pass. (SBR, stupid grip rules for handguns) I can see registration of full auto weapons, $500 fee, (I know, burn the heretic) but most of the rest of the NFA taxes are insipid rules for a growing federal enforcement apparatus who were about to be laid off due to the end of Prohibition. My favorite part was using the deaths of gangsters to argue that you had to be disarmed to protect criminals from criminals.

Hey, I had to throw that last one in there. After all, this is a conversation, not a lecture, right?
