Range thoughts

When I got to the range Friday, my intention was just a fast set of mag dumps. I have new Pmags to try out, and a new grip to get used to. I was very surprised to see about 7 people there with only 2 cars in the lot. Now, not to be one to stereotype, but guys in their late sixties/early seventies, well, you just don't expect them to be showing their grandsons how to shoot AK's. Or AR's. Pretty awesome, come to think of it.

Do the math. If they served in Viet Nam in the '60s and early '70s as young men, they'd have been born in the '40s and '50s. That would put them in the 60-70 year-old age range. They would also have intimate knowledge of both the AK and the AR platforms, having shot and been shot at by both.
Good to see grandpas out there passing on what they know (I have a few years until mine are old enough to teach).

That timeline did cross my mind has I was writing this. I just kinda felt like a goof, showing up to test a rifle, interrupting family time.
